Chilako Valley Outfitters has been safely, and environmentally responsibly, providing quality black bear, deer and moose hunting experiences for over 40 years. Our hunting area is approximately 2500 square kilometers located within a one hour drive from Prince George. We provide free pick up and delivery from the airport, lodging, food and great hunting experiences. Clients are expected to pay for their own tags and licences, however we do the preparation on their behalf when the information and funding are received. Client licences and tags are then waiting for them upon arrival at the lodge. Our lodge offers clean comfortable rooms and hot showers. And, when you pull your chair up to the table at mealtimes...well...let's just say that in over 40 years no one has ever left our table hungry. Plentiful and nutritious home cooked foods are served at every meal. It is strict company policy that no part of an animal is ever wasted. We do our best to dispose of any meat which some hunters cannot use, as in the case of black bears; in such circumstances (rare) we find someone locally who will utilize it.

There are few settings as wild or as beautiful as central and northern British Columbia to come hunting. Majestic mountains, endless tracts of forests, rock ridges and wide open meadows make up the topography. When you hunt up here, you'll find that the setting is a big part of the experience. British Columbia has very high black bear, deer and moose populations. Color-phase bears, huge bucks and massive bulls are very common. Our animals experience very light hunting pressure, ensuring excellent trophy quality and opportunity. DEER HUNTING

Mankind has been recorded hunting deer from as early as 7,000 BC. Chilako Valley Outfitters carries on the tradition by providing customers with premium guided deer hunting adventures. The deer most sought after in western North America are white-tail and the larger mule (or black-tail). Our area has excellent black-tail and white-tail deer populations, and our deer hunting guides are extremely skilled, so your trophy potential is very high. The terrain, with its abundant cover, is perfect for hunting mature bucks. BLACK BEAR HUNTING

Chilako Valley Outfitters offers spring and fall guided trophy black bear hunts in British Columbia, Canada, the premier spot for trophy black bear hunting in all of North America. With vast expanses of natural habitat, black bears thrive in our hunting area. Extremely well adapted to living in the forest, these ingenious animals eat berries, insects, grubs, small mammals and fish. The bears sometime occur in white (Kermodi),cinnamon and/or blonde color phases, although black is the most common. Our black bear area has the forest cover and food sources to support large populations of this extraordinary mammal. Bears also scavenge, and are known to visit the local towns every fall, causing havoc mostly by garbage raiding. Regulated guided black bear hunting prevents the black bears from overpopulating, which leads to starvation and increased danger to humans, their livestock and pets. Spring Black Bear Season is from May 1st to June 15th
